Cold Steel Axis Machete
$34.99
A versatile 11″ dual-edge machete that chops, saws, and handles like a knife when needed. Lightweight, secure in hand, and built from 65Mn high-carbon steel. Includes nylon sheath.
Description
The Cold Steel Axis Machete offers a compact yet highly functional design that bridges the gap between a machete and a utility knife. Lightweight and easy to maneuver, it delivers excellent chopping performance while its dual-edge blade provides added versatility for sawing, scraping, and detailed tasks.
Crafted from 65Mn high-carbon steel, the 11-inch blade features a straight-back profile that gives it superb control and durability. This design allows the Axis to retain knife-like precision—ideal when a full-sized machete is too large for the job.
A textured rubber handle ensures a secure, slip-resistant grip even in wet or demanding conditions, while providing comfort during prolonged use. The Axis Machete is well-suited for camping, trail clearing, bushcraft work, yard tasks, and general outdoor utility.
Each machete includes a durable nylon sheath for safe transport and storage.

★★★★☆ 4 out of 5 Stars — Strong Performance with Minor Ergonomic Trade-Offs
I’ve been using this as a bushcraft and general outdoor tool, and overall it performs very well. The blade itself is excellent—strong, durable, and capable of handling heavier tasks without issue. The carbon steel holds an edge well and delivers the kind of quality that’s hard to find at this price point.
The only downside is the integrated saw feature, which can feel uncomfortable during certain uses and isn’t something I personally rely on. Without it, the tool would be nearly perfect for my needs. Despite that, the overall build quality and cutting performance more than make up for the minor ergonomic drawback.
For anyone looking for a dependable, well-made outdoor blade with solid value, this is a strong option and one I would still recommend.
